If I'm not towing, I easily go over 500 even around town. If I'm doing highway or even decent secondary road driving, I get well over 700 miles to a tank. I have been as low as aprox. 16 mpg while towing a car trailer with a jeep Grand Cherokee on it with a lot of interstate driving, regularly see 20-22 mpg with mixed driving, and when I let my friend drive my truck (he was very easy on the throttle, nothing over 65 mph) on the interstate, he got aprox. 25 mpg. I estimate I'm around 17-20 when I'm running locally...lots of short trips (doesn't get the engine fully warmed up), and our new house is on a hill...so many trips down the hill for dinners at my inlaws, then back up the hill...10 miles round trip. Truck is in my sig.

Well, on the interstate at 75-80mph from fargo the twin cities i average about 18-18.5mpg, but back and forth to the cabin cruizin nice and easy at 65mph I hit 19.5-20.5mpg, but I will chime in again once the timing is turned up to 16* this week, hopefully i can hit 21mpg cruizin at 65mph.

I usually go

about 120-150 miles per 1/4 of a tank, and thats with a banks plate full forard. I usually fill up tho when i get to 1/4 of a tank tho, I dont like the high rprices or seeing the pump go that high, and i dont wanna damage that fuel pump...

Tx

I've only had 6 Dodge diesel 1 95 3500 4x4 5spd 410s it got 12 to 18 towing emty hwy 60mph, 3 97s 3500 4x4 5spds 2 355 1 410 all got 15 city 12towing and 18 on hwy 65mph, 1 98 same as the 355 97s, 1 2001 3500 4x4 6spd 355 only drove it 1300mi and sold it empty 15 city 18 hwy.
I hand calculate all my mileage and I used to hot shot so I put about 400,000 on those trucks so far.
My current truck is the 97 with 410s I have been working on a hydrogen set up for about 3months and so far have seen 18+ in town towing a 3000lb trailer, and 21+ on the hwy at 65mph.

I get about 17 mpg in town and have gotten as high as 26.8 mpg on the highway. I have a stock 2500 2wd 5spd. I have gotten 564 miles out of a tank of fuel. I hate to modify it to much because I get such good mileage on the interstate, but a friend of mine has a highly modified 95 3500 and gets better mileage than I do when we are both towing single car trailers. Diesel fuel going up makes no sense. I'm stuck in ohio 600 miles from home and unleaded $2.39 and diesel $3.39 today. If it keeps going up it may cost me $150 just to drive home.
