Well' It's time... Track bar is shot along with some of the other parts... After getting a quote for all MOOG parts for track bar and steering linkage...just under 600 beans...I am wanting to go Thuren track bar and the ultra beefy steering setup he has... I hang a heavy plow in the winter so beefyness is good!...lol The the Thuren website says the steering setup wont work with factory rims and tires??? Anyone know why?? I put in a call but havn't gotten a response back yet. What are my other options?? My truck is jacked 3" in the front. Thanks!

I don't know for sure but my guess is the is factory rims sit so far in they will hit the steering where it attaches on the right knuckle. Get some aftermarket rims and 33's or 35's!!! Hell I picked up some H2 tires & wheels (315 BFG's) for $200 and they fit great on mine with 3" lift

Anybody know for sure if the 98-99 style steering bolts right up in place of the 94-97?

I was looking at a 99 and it sure looked like a better setup.

Yes, the 98-99HD steering bolted right up to replace my 96 Y-type. Also went with the THUREN track bar (not the 3gen conversion). Definately beefy, after the alignment EVERYTHING feels solid up there!!

I spoke to Don Thuren about his steering setup. After telling him how my rig is set up and what I use it for... He told me that ultra beefy steering isn't for me. Then he said he has another option... Later style "t-bar" linkage to replace all the factory Y linkage. All greasable tie-rod ends. It's not on his web site yet...
