I am trying to get a new exhaust system for my 98.5. I would like to know if an 05' system downpipe ect, can fit or be modified to fit my truck. I am, and have been looking for a newer system.

 

It can fit, it is a chore. However unless you want ridiculous amounts of power a standard 4" system will work fine.

 

The down pipes on Gen3 trucks will not fit.. too short as the turbo is hung down under the ex manifold instead of on top. The rest of the pipe should work however. So you could cough up $150 for a 4" HX downpipe and get it to fit up to the OEM 05 setup..

 

i think i am going with a banks power system. 4" monster exhaust.

 

Have you tried the DTR Store? MBRP gets my vote..
