Exchange 93 5.9 12V IC with 99 V-10
I have a 93 Dodge Cummins 2-WD with a bad transmission & an opportunity to buy a real slick 99 4-WD V-10 with a blown motor. What would I be getting myself into trying to exchange the Cummins with the V-10? Will the automatic transmission on the 99 V-10 bolt up to my 93 12Valve IC Cummins? Any websites out there that cover this type of adventure?

Where can I get an adapter , or is there any possibility of switching the bell housing from the 93 transmission to the 99 transmission? Sorry for my ignorance, but what's a diesel converter & a VB?

the diesel converter and valve body are similar units (to gassers) but are designed to operate at much lower rpms, i don't know specific examples, but say a gas engine would have an expected stall at 2500rpm, whereas a diesel needs to be much lower, like 1500rpm so that the engine can work in it's operating window, cummins - 1000 - 2500 rpm vs gas 1500 - 4000 rpm.

Exactly, and the Valve Body builds more pressure at a lower RPM to keep the clutches happy.
As for the block adapter, I am not 100 percent sure about that one, just guessing because you for sure have to change it for the Manual trucks, and I do not know if there were also changes in the 94 47RH bell housing.
Anyone else played with it?

Really appreciate your guys input on this! Now that I know what you were talking about on the transmission valve body, patdaly. Then the computer & throttle position sensor communication concerns to the transmission you other guys brought up.
I'm starting to think I should be looking for something with a manual transmission to perform the organ transplant on!

I didn't say it in my original post, but it needs to be said ...
Have you answered the emissions question? Generally all OBD II (96-UP) vehicles will require emissions testing. Depending on the what the state allows you may not be able to license the truck with the 93 engine installed.
I would be able to look up specifics but, no location in your sig.

No OBD testing on 3/4 ton hd truck and over in VT. You will also need a 2nd gen diesel starter to deal with the added adapter plate
