Engine problems

My truck seems to act up when I give it a light constant throttle driving between 35-45MPH. Feels like it shifts up, then down, then back up, until I let off on the throttle. It sounds/feels like a transmission problem, but it should be bulletproof with what it's got in it (see sig).
Someone suggested it may be a fuel starving problem, with what I've got in it.
I could really use some suggestions on this one..
Thanks

P.S. If it makes any difference, the previous owner of the truck said that when most torque converters lock up at around 50, he had it set up to lock up at 35mph

Do a search on TPS or throttle position sensor. I am no expert but sounds like a possibility. Does it also occur with the overdrive locked out?

it has nothing to do with your engine...ur locking and unlocking the TC at that speed for some reason...call suncoast and explain it to them..i think TPS as well...that TPS pukes on everyone at some point

Ok that makes sense. I'll check the TPS, and try to give Suncoast a call tomorrow.
And yes, it also happens with O/D off.
The seller had experienced this problem, but it was nowhere in the ad. He mentioned it after I'd bought it.
He said it happened every once in a while when the line fitting on the fuel tank would get loose. I got under there, and was able to pull it off easy. He said somebody told him the engine was acting up because air was getting into the fuel. So I put a hose clamp on it, and used some loc-tite, thinking that may solve the problem. It didn't. How can I tell if I'm getting air in the fuel line?
Thanks for the help guys
