Dumped a Quart or whatever of PS DK in the tank...

... and I don't like the way the truck is performing...

Although I did go to a different station to fill up, Pilot, which is a high traffic truck stop...

It feels like I lost a little low end and a noticeable amount of top end...

I went on a 20 mile trip on the freeway and was on it for a good portion, pushing 90 and 2600 it started leaving a trail of gray smoke, not thick by any means...

Dunno...

Should I have used the whole bottle of DK?

Should I even use it in my 12v?

I would imagine it is Power Service Diesel Kleen. I don't see why it would hurt a 12 valve. Others will chime in.

I've been using PSDK for months with no problem...Perhaps it was some of the new ULSD causing the issues (that the fuel distributors were required to start selling in October)?

I dont believe its the new fuel. I think its because you just double dosed it with the PS. It is probably cleaning the crud out of everything and clogging the fuel filter some.
I run the same stuff in my 12v but only 16oz for each fill, no probs on mine.

I dont know. I have ran the PS DK and 12oz of the 2Cycle oil in the last tank and I could tell that there was a small amount of power loss!!!! The bottom end wasn't there and the top end felt sluggish also??? I will run a couple of tanks through her before I try to use this stuff again!

I've tried the gray and white bottles in mine and had the same problem. It seemed to run worse each time I added it. I never used more than what was recomended though. I think it's what dslpower said it's just cleaning every thing out. Now I run a smaller amount every other fill up.

The last 2 tanks I have had have been acting the same way, (a gray cloud at higher rpm) and I have been using ps for several months now. I use the amount recomended by ps. I have the impression that the diesel fuel is old. But with supply being what it is suppose to be and demand how could that be? I know my fuel milage has dropped considerably as well.
