creature pounding on my floorboard

Can't find what is causing the noise. It only happens when I'm underway and turning. I get a thunk, like someone hit the floor board on the passenger side w/ a hammer. I will hear it once when I turn left, then again when I turn right, etc. etc. Any Ideas which compenent is loosened up?

This reminds me of the BobandTom skit with Mr. Obvious and the garbage disposal...

Anyway, I'd start with the track bar where it mounts to the frame.

a "popping" sound while turning the wheel back and forth usually is the track bar ball stud.

a "ratteling" under the floorboard while driving is was the lower shock bolts for me.

Check the lower ball joints, mine did the same thing, since the control arms connect beneath the body mounts, he sounds like just as you described. My stock ones went bad at 134k. I have greesable Moogs now, top and bottom bj and new ujoints, zero noises.
