ATS or DTT Tranny

Ok Guys, been pondering for a while. Need some helpful input on any expirences with either tranny. I'm not set on either one yet, The DTT is actually a little cheaper on my wallet. I just don't want to spend the cash on one then regret not getting the other. Anyone have any advise on the co-pilot with the ATS.
For sure i'm getting billet input and mullti-disk t/c with whichever one i go with. Not a towing truck, a daily driver with eventually 500hp(hopefuly).

Go with whatever you can get service somewhat locally on

Chris

But I LOVE my DTT!

I went through about 5 ATS trannies all with misc. problems until I finally yanked it and put a suncoast in. I know a lot of my problems came from the co-pilot.

I defintely agree with everyone on getting something that you can get serviced locally.

CumminsBeast:

Unlike DTR Member "CrashCade", I have had EXCELLENT service from the ATS
Transmissions I have had in all my trucks including: my 1996 Dodge CTD 12 valve, (which I still own), my 2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve, and finally my new 2006 Dodge CTD CR! I also have run the ATS Commander on ALL my trucks and have NEVER had one problem with them or related to the transmission itself! FWIW, I run my trucks HARD towing with them and drag racing with primarily the 1996 now. You can look at my signature to see what kind of power and 1/4 mile times my 1996 Dodge CTD has! FWIW, ATS is the only transmission company right now that offers a "five disc" converter. Their warranty is three (3) years, 150,000 miles.

FWIW, you can find Members here that have probably had trouble at one time or another with all of the brands mentioned. Like the members said, go with a company that is close to you that can provide the service you need should you have any problems.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

All the big trans shops will deliver a good product. ATS, DTT, Goerend, etc...
Find a dealer or shop close to you that you feel good about.

As John_P said, all the big trans shops have had problems with their product. It's how they take care of the problem that counts the most.

Now I'm nearly back at square 1. I'm thinking like mike D, that all the tops are good products. But recently I have swayed toward Goerend, I guess I'll make my decision this week. Thanks for the replys.
