Boy this clutch is GONE!
Finally tore the truck apart today, boy was I suprised when I saw the clutch disc (or lack thereof). But now I can install A good clutch, and maybe get to making some more power.

Wow What kinda clutch you gonna throw in the beast? Mines apart right now for a wheel bearing, and I also put a new master cylinder on it. Hopefully it stops better though

Going with the south bend con OFE. I guess i need the 13" clutch disc after all. The thing that makes this unbelieveable though is that when it happened I was actually driving really easy. Taking off from a stop sign with about 6K pounds behind me, and all the sudden BAAMMM.
Can't wait to drive this thing with a good solid clutch, and some more power.

Well, I can believe it after loosing my rear end while I was completely coasting down the road Sounds like its time to take a grinder to that plate when you get the OFE in. Those are supposed to be really good holding clutches with great driving manners. Let us know when ya get it in

As soon as the clutch goes in, there will definitely be some BOMBing taking place. Didn't want to kill the clutch so I kept things sane for a while. Now some of the parts hiding in the garage can be put to good use, instead of collecting dust.

Moparmax that is what i thought i would see when I tore my truck apart. I guess if it can happen it will happen to me lol. Taking the nv-4500 out by myself with no tranny jack was fun though. I think i will either get a tranny jack or a buddy or 2 when I put it back togeather.

i know what you mean about not having power. I have been pulling my race car, with my 2003 Ford ranger.
I have to leave a bunch of stuff at home to keep the weight manageable. I am pulling about 4200 pounds with it though. I also don't like to go very from home with it either. Longest drive with it so far is 42 miles.
In it's defense though it is a 4.0, automatic with 4.10 gears, supercab, 4x4, with an aftermarket set of overload springs. Pulls it pretty good but you know for sure there is a load behind you.
