Bosch 7100 fuel pump

Need some advice . I have a 94 DP motorhome with a Cummins diesel 190 hp. The former owner said he had someone change out the pump with one off a 95 Dodge 4x4 truck . The #on the Bosch is 3611439 and below that is 0.402-736-910. How do I find out what this Bosch is off of. I called Cummins and no help. The original # should be 3921777 or 3919090 on the 94 motorhome. Any ideas . Thanks

Unless its a warranty deal I wouldn't worry about it.
A simple fueling plate change and you will do better than paying someone to change the P-Pump from the 95 pump you have back to a 190hp P-Pump.95 sticks were at 175 hp and the autos were at 160hp.Use a TST plate kit and you can gain what you need to move the motorhome efficently down the road......Andy

7100 Bosch pump

Thanks for the info. The 190 Motorhome had 475 lbs. of torque. Would the TST fuel stop plate get me back to that. Do you need to rework the govener also. Thanks

Grind your plate to a #10, set it forward a bit then put in a set of 3 or 4K governor springs and you will get all that torque back plus some. Make sure the governor arm is contacting the plate correctly while installing the plate. It might not be a bad idea to check timing also.

I also have a DP and the first thing you should do is install a pyrometer before you make any changes.
I installed a TST #11 plate and although It made great power- I ended up driving by the pyrometer as my EGT's would skyrocket!

Do not make any plate grinding recommendations by these truck guys(no offense intended) but the DP and trucks are a lot different. With the heavy DP- you are running on the plate every time you climb any hill and the wrong plate selection will be troublesome.
I suggest you call several plate sellers and get their recommendations and do some studying and reading on the diesel forums(info on plate design is none existent.)
Another DP guy tried the TST #10 plate and had EGT problems so that is not the way to go either, then he changed to a #6 and still had high EGT problems but with a better mid range power.
I have a stock 230 hp plate that I plan on modifying a little at a time to get the fueling to start sooner in the rpm range and move the plate(forward) .020 at a time to raise the EGT's from 1150° to 1250° floored.
I'll post my results from my first mods next week if anyone is interested.

You have missed though what p-pump he said he has on his truck, its off of a 95 Automatic truck. He can not use a 11 plate in it as its not reccomended and with his being a motorhome I would NEVER do it due to excessive heat.

CarlJensen...
Again as I told Skip...Read his post and see what pump he has and its application. He doesn not need a plate that makes nuclear heat he needs one to make it more efficent.

Come on guys, use your noodles some before you hit the enter key...

rseibenick...
Your best application for your usage would be a TST #6 plate thats rated to make your pump up to 230hp/605tq.Its one of the best all around safe bests and not hard on the convertor.IT would be best with your application to install a EGT gauge to keep a wary eye on it but this is one of the safest plates for the 95 auto pump.Even if the p-pump you have is off a stick truck it would only make your numbers elevate a tad to 250hp/635tq and would be ok also.Again, call Mark at TST and tell him what you want to do and have him help you,its your best bet......Andy

P.S....The chart below is from the TST website for you to look at for plate numbers and what they do...

7100 Bosch pump

Found out I have the stock Bosch 190 hp 7100 pump on the Diesel Pusher motorhome. But the break off screw was taken out of the AFC housing. I guess that someone change the fuel plate out of the 95 4X4 5.9 cummins. The original enigne is 190 with 474 lbs. of torque. Is it best to get back to the 190 fuel plate or go with a diff plate. Thanks Ron
