block heater quit workin
My block heater no longer works. I left it plugged in all night then in the mornin it was hard to start. I know the outlet and cord are good (they run the x-mas lights.) Is there a fuse? Maybe i have a short. I only backed out of the driveway once without unplugging it. I know because when i got home, the cord was almost out to the street. Any body else ever have a problem with thier heater?

Re:block heater quit workin
The biggest problem is the cords on these heaters check it with a ohmn meter...disconnect the cord at the heater and check it with a ohmn meter....if that checks ok the chances are the heater is bad

Check the wire where it goes into that stupid molded plug. Thats the most likely place for a break. If its cracked or broken there, just buy a good HD male cord end at your local hdwr store and replace it. HTH Rick
