Ok. Yeah, no matter where I poke on the TPS connectors ( as stated in the original adjustment instructions) I get a constant 4.98-5.00V on the meter. I even unplugged it off the TPS and metered the male end, and still a constant 5 volts. I think I am going to take her in tomorrow. I have no more ideas. Thanks alot again infidel.

Not sure but dont think I seen mentioned to maybe spray that TPS down with electrical cleaner to make sure nothing got in it when he cleaned his motor?? Just thinking out loud, but it might be worth a try.

Just getting back to this post.
If you are getting 5 volts at all three terminals of the TPS, you have no ground. Find out why. I don't have a pin-out to tell you the color. One wire will be ground , one is 5 volts and the other is variable with the rotation of the TPS. And this most likely is the shifting issue.

Finally. I got it fixed! I couldn't find any missing grounds, ect. I decided to take it up to the Transmission guys in town. He put his Snap-On diagnostic computer job on it and it told us what we already knew, a constant 5 volts, max power. We looksed around and took the trucks computer off (behind stock air box) and unplugged it and found the wire for it (42) and cut it and tested it, and came to conclusion that it was indeed the TPS that was bad. It evidently had a short in it. So I had to spend the $179.74 and replace her. Sure enough, we got out on the highway, and she shifted smoothly into OD. Thanks alot for all your help guys. P.s. a word to the wise...TAKE OFF YOUR TPS BEFORE USING DEGREASER ON THE ENGINE, OR JUST DONT USE IT!!! I learned that the hard way. Thanks.

Do a search on this site, and you will find the instructions for drilling and cleaning the TPS. I think they were posted by Infidel?

I've taken them apart to clean and have gotten quite a few more miles out of them but the way Massey's sounds like it failed don't know if it would help. He could at least see what makes it tick and break.
On the side opposite where the shaft goes in you'll see a joint where it was put together. I just trace the line a couple times with a razor knife then pop it open with a small screwdriver.
My bet on Massey's since it was completely shorted is that the ribbon that circles the inside is broken and wadded up at the side where the wires come in.
You'll at least see if there is oven cleaner inside.
