anybody have pics of xfer case internals?

I need some photos to help reinstall parts in my 241 hd. I didnt detail the position of parts when I took them out and now I'm paying for it. Mostly it's the large collar that slides with the large shift fork. It will install in 2 different ways but only one can be correct.

thanks

lewis

no, and I moved the parts around after I removed them. I went further into the internals than you will need to go. I was trying to see if a input shaft from a 241 case would work, it wont but I had to remove the shift collar to test something.

just take pics or make notes of how it comes apart

Box5, did you get the CD yet? It isn't hard, just follow the manual I sent you and you won't have a problem. Pete

Not yet, probably tomorrow i'm guessing. thanks pete. I'll take my time on it to because the trans can go in without it while I have the jack rented.

The taper on the collar installs toward the front of the case. The splines are beveled on that side to engage the synchro assy. as opposed to flat on the other side. I just went through my 241 so if you have more questions, shoot.
