Timing differences?

I just finished timing my truck to 16* is it common for the engine to idle the same, better, or idle a bit more rough then stock timing?

Mine is at 18* and tends to be just a little harder to start in the morning and seems to have a little rougher idle, but it could all me in my head, I hear things that other people dont when it comes to my truck.

When my timing wetn to 16* it seemed harder to start but easer to keep running, it idles a bit higher now to, which is okay.

I guess the only thing not subjective is the idle, everything else could be in my head.

yea something isn't quite right on mine now that I changed the timing. I need to check it again it runs like there is air in one of the injector lines.
