Another success story of deleting the fuel shut off solenoid

My truck was dying so instead of troubleshooting I just decided to go the Napa six dollar cable route. I removed the fss, cut the wires, attached the cable housing to a piece of metal with a cable clamp. Attached the piece of metal to the FSS bracket using the original screw and then added another piece of metal to the shut off lever. It starts quicker now and can be left pulled out for a anti theft device.

Mines been gutted since I got it. Was going to replace it when I bought the truck but couldn't find any reproductions for sale that were worth a darn. All reviews said they disintegrate sooner than they should.

I got rid of mine years ago. Push in to run, pull out to stop.
