Compression test

Is there a specific kit for 12 valves for a compression test or is there a good universal kit for multiple diesel engines that would allow me to test a 12 valve and other engines?

If this is related to your truck stalling and not starting-

I don't think it's compression. (As long as there's still oil in the engine and the oil pressure was not low for a long time)

On another note, it would be better to get the equipment for a leakdown test. This tells you much more than a compression test.

Still, a leakdown test is more accurate and also more robust -
meaning that you want to know if the piston seals in the bore, the valves seal in their seats etc.
A compression test of a leaking engine will look good if you have enough carbon from leaking valve seals in the combustion chamber..

hi
well looks like no one will help you here !
i got the same response when i had a cyl go down about 2 years ago !

well i am going to let the secret out !

you can buy an adapter on e bay to install in place of your injectors , one at a time with all removed ! adaptor was about $45.00
it is made of brass and has a nylon washer on end that goes into head .
other end is made for a special quick connector to snap a gage with h high preasure hose to a gauge .
you will need a 500 lb or higher gauge , mine goes to 1000 lb.
i got the adapter and saw it took special hose adapter and fount the correct compression gauge on e bay also used but perfect. $35.00
my no 6 cyl had only 40 lb compression !!!!
