Another overflow valve question
I removed my overflow valve and opened it up to inspect the spring. I though that when I first opened it I counted 3 small washers(spacers) along with the spring and the ball. Now I see 2. How many are there suppose to be? And I've read that the spring is suppose to be slightly more than 1/2" long. Mine is only 7/16.

There are only two washers.
Beware stretching the spring to 1/2" is only a temporary fix at best and should only be done if you have a fuel pressure gauge.
Over pressure can cause expensive damage.
