afc
ok being new here excuse my ignorance. if i slide the afc housing and fuel plate all the way forward and adjust star wheel to the front of truck i should get more hp and smoke right?<br>do i need a pyro gauge?<br>i'm doing exhaust also

Hey js,<br>The Star Wheel only controls fueling until the turbo can spool up to provide boost.<br>Adjusting the Star Wheel will get you more fuel at low rpms (More fuel = more smoke. More fuel = more power).<br>Yes, it will increase EGT's but only until the turbo can spool up. <br>Once the turbo is providing boost, the star wheel no longer affects fueling.<br>Also, if your not heavy with your right foot, the smoke isnt too bad... nor will your EGTs be bad.<br>If you floor it from a stop, then yes, you will notice a lot more smoke.<br><br>However, ANYtime you change your fueling rate... you should invest in an EGT guage.<br><br>Rich

thanks for the replies. i figured i would put a gauge on it.<br>i just want a little more power but like to keep my truck pretty well stock
