The 12 valves have no puke bottle and the breather tube is in entirely different location than the 98.5 and newer.
Finding an oil leak online is just a guessing game.
Only way is to clean it up and find where the leak is actually coming from then we'll teach you how to fix it.

I pushed a length of 3/4" ID poly hose over my stock tube, no clamps.
Been hanging on there for 15 years.

Put in another vote for the tappet cover. Mine is leaking from there right now too. There are six bolts you can tighten there. I was able to get to 4 of them. Some were pretty loose - not a gallon every 350 miles loose but enough.
Try tightening them and see if that helps. It's right by the puke tube so you might be confusing the source.

Rebuild the engine...
Sucks, but thats pretty much the only thing to solve the blowby issue.
In your case, TERRIBLE.
1 gallon, every 350 miles?
Unless something is unbolted under there - I don't know what else to say.
If you wash the engine down - then spray some brake cleaner on what you couldnt get off - and let it idle or whatever - see if oil comes out anywhere.
Could be many things that are an easy fix - but if its blowby - you need to suffer or rebuild.
