Not to start a war here but which has the best shaft Quad 4x4 or Standard. My truck has a 111k with no problems yet but it may come someday. It is used mostly for towing a 10k 5th wheel.

I'm prejudiced towards Quad because they're in my home state but Standard's solution is just as good.

Thanks, I have been carrying a upgraded nut with me since late 1996 when the problem was first noted. As time went by it was discovered that would not solve the problem. I use to rebuild trans, 3 and 4 speed back in the 60,s and 70,s when they were simple but I don't know about this bugger.
