I need a trans cooler for my build. Its a Cummins and the 47re that came out of a 96 3500 2wd. I put it all in a 94 chevy 3500 2wd crew cab. I have an aftermarket cooler that is pretty big but I don't know how to make the lines. What size are the fittings that are on the stock trans? Are they an AN style fitting? I think im going to put it in the center of the intercooler if it will all fit, if not then I will put it behind the trans up under the frame with an electric fan. Anyone got any sugestions or information? The trans has been beefed up a bit with a billet converter and im lookin at about 450 hp when its all done. It will mostly be a DD but it will pull a camper or a car every once in a while.

 

Not sure about the AN size, but the lines are 1/2 inch.
I would for sure put a electric fan on the cooler, no matter where you mount it.
