Was towing my boat yesterday when I started to hear an unusual squeal, which was followed by a puff of smoke. It was hot so I thought I may have been overheating. Water temp was on the high side of "normal", and came down. Afterwards - or on the way home I noticed lower power and less turbo spool. only between 3-8 psi on Edge Juice monitor. usually much higher. Also dumping unusual amount of black smoke.

Made it home ok, but am afraid that my turbo may be fried. Anyone have anything similar happen or know what may be my problem?

Sounds like it may just be a blown intercooler boot. Check the hoses from the turbo to/from the intercooler and see if one is split or just popped off.
