Talked to the alternator shop about the two wire plug (blue and green wire) coming out of the back of the alternator. We came to the conclusion one of these two wire needed to be hooked up...12+ or....
So I began with a fused wire from batt/12+ to the blue wire, drove truck and could immediately tell everything was back to shifting as normal.
Will drive on the hwy tomorrow but I expect the same normal shifting. This has been very frustrating but all along, I believe the voltage regulator within the PCM failed or has shorted out for some unknown reason.

No ASD relay voltage at PCM says perhaps your ASD relay is not being brought in.
Do you have a FSM to trace the power to ASD?
Trans will not go into overdrive if it does not think it is running, shouldn't have cruise working nor AC.
