ats 47re transmission shifting in and out of overdrive
ats 47re transmission shifting in and out of overdrive
transmission shifts fine. but from 45-60mph the transmission hunts overdrive continuously, no matter how hard or soft the throttle is pressed down. i know the brake switch is bad. the tail lights stay on with foot off of the brake. and the cruise control wont work because of brake switch. can this brake switch be what is making the transmission fault? i have also replaced the govenor solenoid and transducer when trans wouldnt shift into first gear at stop. the tv cable is new and adjusted. the tps sensor was also adjusted with in spec. can someone please shine some light down on this problem.
Brakes on will cause the TCC to unlock. Also, when I did a GSK in mine, I had to increase the TPS voltage slightly to keep the same thing from happening.
You sure it's shifting gears? And not just locking and unlocking the TCC?
Try it with OD shut off and at a lower speed. Say like 35 to 40 MPH.

You could just go get a new TPS. The potentiometer wears out at your most used accelerator position. This causes intermittent gear changes, cruse problems etc.. You may want to replace the TPS plug as well because fan blows wires around and they lose connection in harness. They have repair harness plugs cheep at auto parts.
