is there a way to force a 47re to hold overdrive
is there a way to make overdrive hold until the OD off switch is pushed or another switch have a few guys running 00 and 01 rams with built trannies and getting sick of overdriving kicking out premanutrely

I know my switch will hold overdrive until the cows come home. Right Phil!
It's just a simple matter of cutting the wire. and using the right switch.https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...cat=500&page=2
I have a mystery switch on mine....I use it for dyno runs and 1/4mi track runs.
Yes, the switch wired in is for TCC lockup, but it will also stay in OD without downshifting. It was once quickly explained it me years ago, let's see if I can remember it right.
With the switch thrown, and the signal is then fully gounded, the tranny signal in the PCM then thinks the truck is doing maximum speed so it's not going to let it downshift even when the kickdown cable is fully pulled.
