Time to update your truck maintenance log

Bought the truck brand new in January of 1999 with seven miles on it at Williamsburg Dodge, $32000.
Went through four lift pumps in 145000 miles, $150 a piece.
Working on the third set of Michelins now, getting 75 to 80000 miles per set, $1200 per set of six.
Put the Jacobs on at about 20000 miles, $850, still on the original pads and shoes all around at 170000 miles and still over half there.
Put $11000 in the engine about two years ago, burnt up number six piston, my stupid fault (cam, pistons, fire rings, studs, blue chip, turbo, etc, etc).
New SBC and Fass two years ago plus a four inch down pipe and DDII's, $4300.
Complete stereo replacement, Panasonic deck, two Crossfire amps (400 & 300 watt), 10 inch DVC on the back seat, eight disc CD changer, $2400.
Third set of batteries is about to go out, $89 a piece at NAPA.
AMSOIL dual remote system, $315.
Transcoolers, about $200 if I remember right.
Mag Hytec rear end cover, $137 if I remember right.
Stacks about four years ago, about $450 if I remember right.
All kinds of aluminum junk hanging on, about $540 if I rememebr right.
GN hidden hitch, $520 installed.

Other than the elective stuff (stereo, etc), and the stupid stuff (burning up number 6), the truck has performed pretty much flawless and done everything I ever asked it to. Even pulling tractors through Iowa when the outside air temp was near 110 degrees. I'll take good old American iron any day.

$4300 for a clutch, FASS, and 4"dp???

That better have been one heck of a SBC quadruple disc monster.

My math shows FASS is $600, DP is $200, and SBC DD is $1800

Did you get charged $1700 to install $2600 of stuff?

I'm starting to realize just how much of a cheapskate I really am

I'm not even going to list my stuff, but the only things that have actually failed are brake pads and shoes (), stock turbo (another ), 1 starter. 1 alternator, A/C Compressor clutch, and a carrier bearing. Oh, and 2 stock clutches

Everything else wasn't really needed, but a lot of fun At one time I had over $9K in different turbos/twin sets, all at the same time!! I've worked it down to a measly $6800 in turbos

Anyone need a turbo(s)??
Chris

You forgot to add the DDII's and the KDP, and a few other things while I was there too.

The only broken parts I've had are a hub, power steering box(my fault), track bar (my fault), and an ac compressor. I'm not counting the 2 lift pumps cause that's a given. Still on my original VP. Saturday I'm doing my oil and filter. Only 2000 more miles to go before I hit 100,000.

My trucks had, all U-joints replaced and the Hx-35, and tranny...well that's a given, over all a very reliable truck, I just bought it from my grandpa and in 2500 miles it will hit 45000 total miles.

You're just special

I put U-joints in mine at 265 when I had the driveshaft shortened for the NV5600 Rotors at 225K, and they were SHOT!!!! I could see the fins through the side (they never felt funny, just squeaked)
