47RE fluid?

Synthetic or Dino? My truck is a 96 and was reading that maybe some of the newer fluids would not be compatible with my tranny.

I got a 1998 12-valve. I just changed the tranny fluid and used Valvoline ATF+4 full synthetic. As long as you use a fluid that meets or exceeds the recommended fluid you should be fine. I'm sure others will chime in though and recommend some good stuff!

Aren't all ATF+4's synthetic? I use Supertech ATF+4 as well. It's the same as any other +4.

I'm running Napa ATF+4 in mine with zero problems.
