i posted about the stuck in gear 97 one ton diesel 4x4 that was stuck in gear and froze up. well surfaced flywheel new clutch bought a rebuilt nv4500 ( every thing inside was blue from lack of oil nothing left to rebuild) thought i would reseal transfere case before turning it back out onto the road. my question is when i split the transfere case the spring and cap on the shifter rail inside the transfere case fell out before i saw the order it goes in. i think the cap goes on the shifter rail then the spring. and the spring bumps up to the case but i am not sure . any one have one apart or a exploded view it would save me a trip to the trans shop to ask. thanks. talk to trans shop today got me on the straight and narrow. thanks anyway.
