NV 5600 and 271 Transfer case complete need Help

I just finished installing a new NV 5600 and a NP 271 transfer case into my 99 one ton . Everything fit nicely and I already had the wide crossmember to accept the 5600. Problem is that now my new front driveshaft rubs the crossmember since the output shaft of the transfer case sits so far back . What kind of front driveshaft do the 03's and up have is it smaller in diamater or do they have a modefied crossmember? Also is there a different vacume switch available for the transfer case with a longer throw to make my 4wd work right or do i just have to get the posi lock cable thing?

BLKsmoker,
My 5600/NV241HD t. case output front drive shaft is very close to the crossmember. My advice is to cut the crossmember, bend a flap of metal down to clear the shaft and box it up on the sides welding some darts at the cuts. You probably have to have some driveshaft length mods anyway. With the d. shaft installed, jack up the L. front end of the truck to have maximum droop of the axle to gage the max clearance you'll need. The clearance around my front driveshaft is very tight all around.
I would get the 'cable locking thing' if the current set up isn't working.
regards, as always, jefe
