2500 to 3500
2500 to 3500
just FYI. My 98 2500 HD (8800 lb front axle) runs a 5 leaf pack in the rear w no overload springs. It has a factory hitch, and according to the vin, a tow package. The 3500 that I just got for the swap has a cab and chassis Dana 80, with a 7 leaf spring pack w/ one overload. I searched and searched, and found lots of info that said the 2500HD and 3500 shared the same rear springs. Apparently not all of the time. I will be starting w the 2500 spring, add airbags and the dually rear. If that's not enough, I'll install the 3500 spring pack. The dually spacers onto the front hubs are all that's needed to change the front to 3500 spec. Even the springs have the same part #. I'm just throwing this out there for the next poor schlep trying to figure this out..
Along the way is on board air (viair compressor), engine driven hydraulic pump for the winch and dump bed, and an aluminum flatbed that dumps to the side and rear. Goerend valve body is on the way!
