1997 Hydrabooster Problems

I rebuilt my hyrabooster yesterday, and I dont think the thing bled the way I thought it did. My pedal feels spongy, and my brakes seem to be stuck on now. Im 99% sure I reinstalled everything properly. I have no leaks anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys. (And gals too)

Why did you re-build the hydrobooster?
Did you disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder (or just leave it connected and moved it off to the side)?

I rebuilt the booster because it was leaking like a sieve. I had the problem before and replaced it with a booster from the junkyard. So now instead of buying a new one for $170 or a used one for $80. I spent $40 on the seal kit. As for the master, I left it intact. Lines connected and booster off to the side. That way Im only trying to bleed the booster and not the master cylinder as well

The bleeding part was throwing me, is why I asked.
I've never had to crack lines or anything like that to "bleed" a hydrobooster. Just install, add ps fluid, and start turning wheel lock to lock.
If it was leaking ps fluid, then yep..needed rebuilt.
If it now no longer leaks and you are experiencing pretty much the same braking problems? It's time to look at the system that brake fluid flows thru. (master cyl, brake lines/hoses, calipers, wheel cylinders, etc).
Just trying to rule out your rebuild as the problem. You probably did a good job and may have another problem that needs attention.

My front brakes seem to drag and when i crank the wheel to the stop it pulls the brake pedal down. Brake master cylinder is only a year old and aside from the booster losing fluid, the brake operated fine. It seems that the booster needs bled some more but the procedure you and others have stated doesnt seem to be working worth a pinch. I guess I what I should have asked for is bleeding tips or if anyone else has had these problems after a rebuild.

Hydrobooster bleeding is basically a self bleeding proceedure. We should call this Power Steering bleeding to avoid confusion.
Jack the front wheels off the ground. Fill ps reservoir. Start truck and just turn the steering wheel lock to lock several times. Then check power steering fluid level and repeat if necessary.

Bleeding the brakes shouldn't need to be done if you did not disconnect any brake fluid lines.
BUT, it sounds to me like you might actually have air in the brake lines, OR, a bad caliper, brake hose, rear wheel cylinder, or even master cylinder.
I just think the problem is with the "brake" fluid system. Not your hydrobooster/power steering fluid system.
