12 valve cummins to for conversion
12 valve cummins to for conversion
Hey I have recently dumped a 12 valve into my 07 ford 350. Just curious if anyone has run into major issues with the fuel shutoff solenoid overheating and if anyone could let me know what the most appropriate circuit to tie it in would be? I was thinking my 30 amp up fitter switch but am not to keen in the case it gets bumped and shutoff by accident.
Solenoid has a "start" circuit, higher current to pull up the solenoid that should be on with starter trigger wire through a relay. The hold circuit should be on with the ignition "on" circuit. It will burn itself out if left on the start circuit, should basically just be warm to touch.
Got it wired in. Works great!! And defiantly does not over heat. I am learning a lot about electrical these days and want to say Thank you for the help. Much appreciated, always great to have a the thoughts of a fresh mind.
