Yeah, that would be my choice also, the block heater only draws 6 1/4 amps so any household outlet would suffice. As long as it didn't have a bunch of other stuff connected to the same circuit. A simple 12 gauge yellow outdoor extension cord thrown out one of the house windows would be more than adequate to supply power, and with the addition of a cheap timer would work perfectly. A small amount of insulation material in the window used would take care of any cold air intrusion. That would be my quick and easy solution JMHO
