Question Remote/Mobile Power Source for Engine Block Heater ??

A device like this would be GREAT to use when it's COLD outside and you are away from a 115V source to plug in to!

Maybe one could be fabricated by using a remote battery pack and an power inverter. The battery pack would have to be separate from the trucks main batteries as to not draw them down so the truck could still be started.

Anyone heard of such a device that you could take with you to plug in your block heater ??

Batteries and inverter would not last long enough. Use a search it's been discussed many times.

The best thing to do is get a small portable generater and put it in the bed of your truck. Then you could always use it to power other stuff too.

Ever thought of putting a Wabasto heater on it? Another one i have been researching is "arctic fox", I saw one on a tractor at work , but i haven't been able to find the dealer for them around here.
