Lift pump quit
Perfect timing for another Murphy attack. Started it up and no fuel pressure. Shut it down as soon as I saw it. Hopefully I didn't do in the injection pump. No time to troubleshoot right now, so I ordered a replacement while I try to get another broken vehicle running. The FASS pump is supposed to have a lifetime warranty, guess I'll find out. If there is a bright side to this, at least I'll have a spare under the back seat along with a TPS, headlight bulbs, and a throttle cable.

Silence. I checked the fuse and it was good. I'm going to bring home some wire and lugs from the shop and try bypassing the relay and see what happens.

Fuse is good?
My FASS quit one day but it blew the fuse. Turned out that the inline strainer (won't call it a filter cuz it is way too coarse) started to disintegrate after 12 years and the lift pump got locked up from a little piece of the silicone sealer used to put together the filter.
I took the top cover off the pump, pulled a little chunk of rubber out and the pump worked fine.

Fuse is good and I have power all the way to the pump. Just doesn't run anymore.

Heated it up and tapped it with a rubber mallet. It is running again, but I don't know for how long. My fuel pressure gauge shows the pressure varying when it didn't before. The pre and main filters was replaced at the last oil change 1500 mile ago.

i thought my fass went bad and it was one of the wires within the truck side of the connector. This was intermittent at first.
if you disconnect from the fasslift pump and put a volt tester in the truck side of connector then have someone engage the starter just for a second you will have power going to that connction for 25 seconds.
At this time check for 12 volts, push and pull on connector and see if you get voltage in different postions.
If you do get 12 volts at all positions during that 20+ second test, then probably the lift pump.
I have a spare pump now, because I replaced the pump and that one didn't work and found the bad connection to the connector.
