XZt+ high idle kills engine
Has any one had the xzt+ kill there engine. I have had it happen twice in the last week. It happens when the switch is off and high idle kicks in. Today it idled all the way up to 2000 rpms. The other day it happened when I just put it to off.

First thing I would think is that there is a bad connection. Bad wire or xzt+. I dont know if it works the same, But with my brothers smarty jr he controls high idle with the cruise control buttons. Might be a problem in there somewhere. Sorry not much help just thinkin out loud

I would check all connections and reinstal the tune on the XZT+. I had an issue with my truck surging and acting up, i reinstaled the tune and it fixed it.
Just my opinion...there usally not very good either

YES EXACT SAME PROBLEM!
I've tried for the past 3months to figure this out. Starts fine, 19psi of fuel @ idle. The programmer has worked great for the first 6mo but now when the HI kicks in the truck dies shortly after engaugement. Very simple clean instillation of the XZT+ and all connections are soldered and then liquid taped and then wrapped w/elec tape. Quad????????

Why are you soldering and wrapping the XZT+ wiring? It plugs into MAP Sensor and Data Link Port, the module itself and the little switch..no need for soldering the XZT+ harness.
I would download a new tune to the XZT+ and just double check MAP and Data plugs for some corrosion.
