Engine Kills

I have a 2001 Ram diesel, the engine kills and I lose power to the dash and radio, when I tilt the steering all the way up. Has anyone else had this problem? When I put the steering wheel down I have full power and engine starts.

There is a multi-pin connector under the steering column area.
Its probably pulling apart a little when the steering wheel tilts up.
