Powersteering leaking!! need help..

I think its from the cold but im not sure, tonight i had to leave in a hurry to go help some one and the truck had only been sitting little less than two hours. I started it up (plugged in as well) and just left w/o letting it sit, i imediatly noticed the power steering seemed like it was non-existant but obviously when you get rolling the tires move even w/o ps. So i did what i had to do less than 5min then came home and shut off the truck. I heard a leaking sound so i look underneath and ps fluid is gushing out. After examining i noticed no broken lines and found it to be coming out of the top of the pump from under the cap. The cap was on tight and it still came out from under it. It was a milky foamy brown. From the searching i did i imagine im right on track with it just beeing frozen. So i went and got some from the gas station for the time being filled it up and it was alot better i actually had steering but when i came home some was still coming out of the top of the pump as before even with the cap on. So i just parked it, its cold and snowing outside and i really need the truck for work and school tommorrow. Anyone got any idea?

thanks,

garrett

you might need a new pump or a line is clogged and the new fluid was thinner and went through easier either way milky brown fluid would mean its about time for a power steering flush so i would go to the dealership and get that done first and go from there

Try replacing your fluid with synthetic PS fluid these pumps are notorious for this problem and a fluid change my be all thats required, saves big $$ over a new pump.
