So it's just finally gotten cold here so I tried to use my high idle this morning when I started my truck hit the cruise on and set and no high idle. I had my truck into the dealer back in May for some warranty drivetrain work (LF axle u-joint, driveshaft u-joints and pinon seals) but nothing electronic. They did pull my dash apart to fix the rattling heater box they installed in January. Without flashing my computer it wouldn't have lost that capability right? And if they flashed my ecu there would be another tag under my hood stating what was flashed and when, right? Any ideas? Thanks, Jimmy

 

The dealer had to do something to the computer for it to stop. There is no other way to turn it on/off.

 

My high-idle stopped working for me and I found that the wire to the clutch switch had fallen off.....something easy for you to check. Hopefully this helps.

 

Is your cruise control working?

 

My truck was reflashed 2x without them ever putting the sticker on under the hood. Seems like it's automatic, they hook it up when they pull it in the shop and if there is newer software they flash it.

 

I had the flash done for white smoke (didn't really do much), and my high idle was disabled. I took it back and they enabled it in a couple minutes. If they flashed, it could have reset that function.

 

Yeah the cruise works fine.
