Looking for speaker AND info

I am in search of a drivers door speaker(w/amp). Sure passenger side will work also. Either is good. Went thruogh the manual and could not find any info on where the fuses are located (any info out there?) Pulled the door apart and hooked up a radio to the speakers and got NOTHING (no sound)
Infinate resistance also. SO I am pretty sure speaker is bad.
Went to electronic web sites and could not find a compatable speaker with the amp or a place to mount the amp to speaker. ANY IDEAS?
Thanks
kevin

Standard 6x9 Front door speakers which I just replaced a couple of months ago. There was no speaker amp in my truck. I went with the Kenwood aftermarket speakers and they sound so much better than the factory ones.

IMO any aftermarket speakers are better than what come with the truck. i upgraded mine last year with some low-end name brand speakers and they are ten-fold better than the stock ones.

I went through the same thing this summer, and just went with some Infinity 6x9's. Dumped the stock amps, and never looked back. An aftermarket head unit and speakers is so much better.
