hx-35 swap question

Ok
I did a search and read alot. Here is my questions,
1. My hx is a 2001 model, it has the cast elbow on the back. do i need the downpipe end that bolts up to it to modify my downpipe?
2. What kind of hose should i get to replace the line from the wastegate actuator to the compressor housing?
3. Where could a guy find a back plate to replace the elbow on the turbo to make it bolt up to my oem downpipe?

Thanks for the help!!

You can use that or you can replace the bolted on pice on the back and put a 94-98 pice on it and it uses the same v-band clamp as the one you have. You will also need to remove the 2 studs from the turbo and drill it out to use the 4 in your manifold. You can use 1/4" air line to go from the compressor to the wastegate.

Awesome!!! thank you for the answers. I have another quick question. My dad's 95' hx-35 has the plate i need with a cast elbow that is v clamped to it. Could i swap it with my 2001 elbow piece and it would all line up? It looks like it does the same as the one piece elbow on my 01'. If i can it would be great so i don't have to search for one. Thanks ez

Yes, I believe they are the same dimensions and you should be able to directly swap them with each other.

You could probably get the wastegate cover gasket from HTT. I've reused mine a few times with no leaks. If you're worried about leakage, but a thin layer of copper gasket maket on both mating surfaces, let set a few minutes then put it together. I used this trick when installing the hot pipe on my turbo setup and it doesn't leak at all.

They never leak there unless you have an exhaust brake. It's fine to reuse them.
