FP guage HELP

FP guage HELP

I am hooking up a FP guage no isolater, do i hook up to that test plug on the LP or one of the fittings on the fuel filter? which is best thanks

I don't know if it's the same on the 98.5's but before I put the big line kit on, I had a port on the side of the VP built into the banjo bolt for the inlet.

My 99 didnt have the port yet i dont think it was there 00 01. You can use the port on the filter housing that is closest to the radiator.

On my 01 I have a shredder valve on the fuel rail between the filter and the injector pump pull out the valve core and put your FP line on. Or you can drill and tap the bottom of your filter canister and put it there.

Kenny, I've go a 98.5. I hooked it up to the test port on top of the filter. I also added a small shut of valve which reduces some of the noise to my gauge and to shut of the fuel if a problem should arise. See pic in my photo's(Fuel system upgrade). I've got 3 yrs on this set up and so far so good.

On my '99 I used the test port for Post-Filter pressure.

thanks guys i got in hooked up as seen in the photo above, but im not geting a reading. was i sapposed to bleed out the air or is there anything i may have missed? thanks

If you're using a mechanical gauge and you're not getting a reading.

A: You have a kink/blockage in the line.
or
B: Your gauge is broken/defective.
or
C: Your lift Pump is toast.
