dealer
hey, I tried taking my rig to a cummins shop, but apparently they cant work on an '03 or newer. so they said I should take it to the dealer. I returned the predator to stock, but the puck is still hooked up and attatched to the fuse box. should I completely remove that?
I would so that the can use their Star Scan properly. It may make it easier for them to diagnose your problem.
Make sure when you start a thread like this, that you mention your truck is completely out of warranty and you know you have to pay for these repairs, otherwise you will hear "You play you pay" over and over again...
I have read several of your threads. Best of luck to you!

good point, I thought about that, then forgot to listen to myself.
but yes, the truck is totally out of warranty, I disconnected the puck, and put everything back to stock. lets hope now that they find out that the injectors are fine, and it is something reeeeeeeealllllllllly cheap to fix, right?

yeah, I was really hoping they could handle it, I mean who better to work on the engine, then the company who built it right? now I am gonna have to battle the dealer for a couple days (most likely). its with them now, and of course they still havent touched it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well.
Pressure Relief Valve on the rail. That is usually caused by a programmer/box that increases rail pressure above tolerable levels.
Do both the Predator and Puck increase rail pressure? I am not familar with their products. If they both do, then that may be your problem.

Cummings would not work on my truck
I have an 05 and the oil pan has been leaking since 10,000 miles. I stopped in at a Cummings shop to see if they would do the work under warnity since I do not think much of any of the dealers mechanics. They told me they had an agreement with Dodge that they would not do their work. The service manager almost acted like he did not want to be bothered. I ask him how much it would cost if I just paid him to do it out of my pocket and he told me he did not have a cost book on the truck. I ask him if the engine had to be jacked up to pull the oil pan and he had no idea. So much for Cummings, at least in Spartanburg SC. I now have almost 50,000 and still putting up with the leak.
Its a good thing you couldn't get work done at that Cummings shop. They are just trying to steal business from CUMMINS by making you think the are the real deal. I see it all over. Rollex watches instead of Rolex, Treck Bicycles instead of Trek, Hyundai cars instead of Honda. Where does it end???
