Re:Dealer & Seats

Your dealer is full of it. Premium seats are an option on the SLT package that includes power driver seat, middle seat under seat storage bin, and a little nicer cloth(but not to noticable). You do not have to have it.

Re:Dealer & Seats

I wonder if they don't already have one coming off the line that fits his order perfectly except for the seats?.
Thats exactly how a dealer gets a bad image. An overzealous saleman or lazy mechanic can really screw up the works!.
I would not do well as a dealer because I would fire every lying, lazy no good thing that worked for me.
Same old story, hard to get good help!

Re:Dealer & Seats

Well it's like this, Our dealership is located in a small farming community and if you are untruthful with people the word gets out and you don't stay in bussiness long. We only have 4 salespeople in our dealership, me, my dad, another relative who married into the family and another veteran car salesman who has been selling in our small community for 30 years. So we know exactly what is going on in our 2 stores. Dad and I are also pretty involved in the service department as far as making sure everything is up to our five star dealership standards. Check out my site. www.maczuk.net . I am pretty proud of it.

Re:Dealer & Seats

Your dealers motivation may not be sinister. If you ordered the "folding flat load floor storage" option, it requires the premium seat option. "Folding flat load floor storage" is not available with the standard cloth SLT seat. You can see this for yourself in the "Build your Dodge" section of Dodge's website. When you select "fflfs" it automaticly selects the Premium Cloth seat.

Good luck.

FYI The premium cloth option also includes a coin holder and an accessory power outlet inside the center armrest compartment.
