Do what they say, I homebuilt one with the best parts I could buy, had billet converter, valve body, everything machined internally for torrington bearings, billet shafts, after the third time I think we have it licked. I will tell you some of the companies that sell valve bodies and converters will blame everything but their product for malfunctions it is not worth the headache. I would go goerend bros if I did all over again

from my experience with built trans. most seem to bang into gears and shift very hard.

I just got my Goerend put in Friday and it shifts much smoother then my stocker did. The shifts are a little firmer but by no means are they hard. I couldn't be happier with my Goerend and their customer service is second to none. Throw in a 3yr 150,000 mile warranty on the trans and a lifetime warranty on TC and VB, not to mention he will custom make you a TC based upon your trucks needs and setup and you've got the best trans in the business.
