Lightbulb For us 2WD people...

I am trying to get a section in the 3rd gen forums dedicated to 2WD. I know all you 2wd owners out there had the same problem i have. You go to do a search for something related to 2WD; Balljoints, steering arms, control arms etc... You do a search and there are 100 results for your search, and somewhere hidden in those 100 topics that have 1000+ posts your answer sits, but sifting through all the 4WD questions, posts etc... you spend minutes maybe hours trying to find the 2WD answer to your question.

I am asking, if you would like to see a 2WD section in the 3rd gen forums, please email the support team suggesting to have one put up. Go to the bottom of the home page and you will find a small link "contact us" in that link you can put a site feedback or suggestion.

Thanks
Shawn

Another reason is that info is buried is that the 2WD is bulletproof compared to the 4WD in re the front end/steering problems. Same for driveshaft[s], etc. HUSKY catalog for spring comparisons (some HEMI numbers in there, too). Very little is different once past the IFS. There is no number for the one-piece driveshaft on the mile-long 6-speed trucks if you have an NV-5600, but if the truck isn't abused (as is common), then it is not a problem.

I wish my front end has been bulletproof. at 80K miles i have already replaced:
ball joints, control arms, steering knuckles, and 1 hub (didnt do the other at $400/ea)

We hear you guys but it's not likely we'll break it down any further. Trying to go back and sort through several thousand threads to recategorized them really isn't an option. I would suggest that when you start a thread from now on, add a "2WD" tag to the thread.

If you do find a good thread, you can also just reply to it to make it show up closer to the top when searching. Not the best option but it would help a little.
