Does the fuel tank have to be removed to replace lhs leaf spring?
That sums it up.
Putting new rear springs on my d250. Does the fuel tank come out first? Passenger side looks easy.

I've done it without moving the tank at all. It's been a while since but I recall being very cautious in holding on to the bolt so I wouldn't "lose it" in the frame. If I were to do it again, I'd have a magnet handy but I might also prefer to install the bolt from the outside of the hanger rather than the inside. I can see pushing the fuel tank aside slightly being easy enough as well.

Thank you both. I'll start on the easier side , then try the drivers. Son was nice enough to fill up the tank yesterday.
So I might wait a week just in case I need to pull the tank aside a bit. Rhs bolt and nuts turn, so I'm hopeful it won't be bad.
