Leaf Spring Removal

The left rear leaf on my W250 has a bolt that looks as though it will be tough to remove on the front spring eye due to the fuel tank being in the way. Anyway around not removing the fuel tank?

If you loosen the rear tank strap you can move the tank enough to get your hand in. That's how I did mine.

Your best bet will probably be to cut the bolt out with a thin cutting wheel on an angle grinder. Even if you get the nuts off the spring eye bolts, they are usually frozen in there pretty good. I cut mine off (stuck the cutting wheel between the leaf and the hanger) then got the bolt out when I could get to it easier.
