Question Weight of OEM bed?

I've purchased a used OEM bed for my 1993 CTD and plan to retrieve it this weekend. Can anyone tell me how much it weighs without bumper and tailgate? (Specifically, can four of us lift it onto my trailer?)

Thanks in advance.

I don't know the specific weight, but four grown men should be able to lift and move it fairly easily.

"not heavy" or "not that bad" is a relative term.when you get to 44 yrs and the others guys at the other end of the dually bed are 20,its fricken heavy.just because your big, just remember, everything inside is old. yea my back hurt for a few days, but dog-gone-it,i got a texas bed home and it was worth it..lol.

Yaknoooowww, of all the people on here, I shoulda figured u'd bite on that one!
Well, So I buy this VERY nice bed in southern PA, n for 2-3 weeks something comes up so I cant get it. Well finally I get a chance with my bud Greg (G1625S) to get it one night, N I had previously spoke with the guy that thursday, he and his familly are going out of town, "just leave the rest of the money under the mat."
OK, this is good, no one's gonna be around to disturb. well its 2 1/2-3 hours from the house to the bed, so Greg NEEDS to get some things done FIRST, (or else) no prob. we got plenty of time.
So about 8 PM we head out, n we start gettin a lil...... antsy, about 20 miles from the bed when I start remembering just how far out in BFE this guy lives (rednecks w/ double barrel's country) NO ONE knows were commin, I cant get ahold of the guy on his cell, its 11 o'clock at night n 2 rednecks in an old crusty loud Dodge, with a car trailer is pullin into some guys driveway late at night.
So its DARK, no pole lamp, no moon, just us n a 4D cell Maglight with an LED bulb are trying to get this rig turned around on a postage stamp to get in position to load this bed. OK, 5 minutes later were gettin our gloves on, n entertaining thoughts of some guy running out his house with a shotgun shootin in any direction he hears sound, when the guys Pomeranian starts barking. "oh great, I hope they didnt come home early."
Now we have this bed half loaded, n "BLINK!" a light inside comes on. "BLINK!" the pole light comes on. "OK dude, get ready to scream: DONT SHOOT DONT SHOOT!!!"
SO i walk to the door money in hand appologizing to the not so bashful son, standing in the door way in his boxer shorts looking dazed and confused with a hand in his shorts, why we were there at midnight, loading that perfect Dodge bed onto the trailer hitched to the not so perfect Dodge. "ok, so heres 200 bucks man, sorry!" "its ok dude, take it easy."
SHEW!! THAT feels better! 10 mminutes later the shifter of that ol 1989 Dodge W250 is against the dash n haulin ___!!!

We were skeered! So for fear of life n limb, I we ya one Greg!!

I'd guess less then 400 lbs. Two can do it, but the more the merrier.

cowboy, that reminds me of a story my friend tell of going to detroit to get a vette hood/frontend 1995.when at the house, very scary place,a guy came out and got into the truck, wanted the cash,1500,and the hood is dn the rd. well they argued and then several other come out of the house, very scary, the dude in the truck pulls a gun,and the friend, driver, screams out of the driveway,w/ a car full of unfriendlys chasing, well a inside fight continues, and the gun goes off, shooting the good guy in the middle, minor hit, and he pushes the bad guy out of the truck..well the trailer gets him,at 80+,and his homies pull off ...bad day..$100 fuel, bullet in the leg,but seeing a homie get rolled under your trailer..priceless...
