There was one heck of a turn out in Alvarado yesterday! Between the trucks and the tractors, the place was packed. I left about 5:30, but Justin, Daniel, Matt, Tyler and a bunch of their friends were still there. Hopefully, we can have a GTG at The Ranch next month.

Yup! Great to see everyone at Alvarado! That event is growing every year!
Sorry I had to leave before the trucks started pulling.

Did Tyler dyno?
How late did they run?

Also have to say... Nice truck Rob!
Nothing I would consider buying but it sure is a beautiful interior!
Hope you have better luck with it than you did with your 02 Dodge!

They wrapped up the dyno right around 6:30 and the pulls got started a little after 6:30. They were shooting for 6pm on the pulls, but at 6pm they already had registered more trucks than they had last year and the line still went out the door. Pretty good showing for the main pulls.

I watched a few of the pulls, then decided to make the trek back north. I was a packed parking lot when I left.

I left about 9pm about the time you couldn't breath anymore in there. Smokers and people who stay in bars a lot had a distinct advantage for being able to last in there.
I swear I blew more black out of my nose than my truck did all day.

Sounds like Alvarado was a blast. Wish I could have made it out but was busy trying to put my toy back together. Took the front apart to find I had only busted a side gear so I just welded it solid (millermatic traction addict). Took it out to for a test run and made about 10 or 12 passes through a pond before I exploded a rear u-joint. Also found out it has at least 32'' of up travel in the front!

I pressed the skinny pedal while on the rollers.

419hp and 850 (IIRC) ft lbs on the Quad X2 by itself then 444 and 865 with the X2 and Smarty on SW 8. Looking at the chart the X2 peaked on torque pretty early then dropped off a little bit while the Smarty was nice and flat peaking out a lot later in the rpm. The Smarty only gained like 25 hp on a very high setting but that 25 hp was present almost immediately at the start of the chart.

That sucker has some serious suspension on it! I guess when you go that extreme, you have to expect a certain amount of breakage. Looks like fun.

I believe Mike is a F1 dealer now. I would have gone through him when I did mine but I didn't know because Don's dealer list wasn't up to date.

Our new shop is so close to Don's now that we just slingshot injectors over the fence!

That was actually a little spooky. That was my first attempt at trying to find its limits. The exterior pictures dont give the view from the cab justice. I should have took some pictures from inside looking out. As far as breaking goes I havent broken anything expensive...... yet. So it doesnt hurt to bad to fix the small things. I stocked up on extra u-joints and it by the discoloration on the one that broke it looks like I didnt give it enough grease.
